Full Time position for experienced Cosmetic Compounder of large scale batch manufacturing required to lead small but growing team for GMP compliant manufacturing plant.

Cosmetic Application Compounder – Full Time

Based in Singapore

JOB SUMMARY:
As part our Cosmetic Application team, you will be responsible for the preparation of samples of our application formulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare formulations of skin care and make-up formulations, hair care and hair color, personal care and fragrance to support cosmetic sales in Asia
  • Prepare samples and sample letter according to the sample requests received
  • Order the packaging and the raw ingredients requested for the formulations.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Some experience in the laboratory
  • Diploma in Personal Care Formulation.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge in cosmetics.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize with limited supervision

Cosmetic Quality Control & Formulation Chemist

The Australian owned company which is over 35 years old is seeking a QC and or formulating chemist to be part of their small team in Northern NSW. Specialising in the manufacture of natural and organic skin, body and hair care ranges. The business comprises of manufacturing its own ranges and also contract based work.

The ideal chemist will have a sound knowledge of the certified organic industry and regulatory requirements.

The role includes:

  • Maintaining our Quality Assurance program including stability, micro and acceleration tests. This involves preparation of samples as required and implementation of appropriate tests at relevant time-point. Report writing, record keeping and maintain the program.
  • Maintaining our regulatory framework within Australia and in overseas markets, and apply that understanding to the development of new products. The position involves submissions to our organic certifiers ACO, COSMOS, OFC for certifications, including preparation for annual external audits.
  • Helping to develop new products, creating product/range briefs for clients
  • Lab housekeeping, raw material, bulk and finished product analysis, QC checked.

The right candidate will:

  • Preferably will possess a qualification in Science (chemistry) and/or Diploma of Personal Care Formulation supported by 2+ years experience in a Quality Control position preferably for cosmetic products.
  • Be confident and experienced in developing new products to meet a brief and timeline.
  • Have a familiarity with cosmetic/ pharmaceutical industry in Australia. In particular with key manufacturers and raw material suppliers.
  • A passion and knowledge of green chemistry philosophy and approaches.
  • Management skills and ability to work in small team. With the ability to take direction but also work autonomously.
  • Ideally have experience in anhydrous formulas and manufacture as well as natural/organic formulas.
  • Be a good communicator who can relate well across all areas of the business.
  • Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.

The position requires the person to work from our manufacturing facility in Billinudgel. Located 30 minutes South from Gold Coast Airport, 20 minutes North of Byron Bay.

National Account Manager – Auckland, NZ

As a result of strong growth, this company is seeking a National Account Manager for their Performance Ingredients division in NZ. In this role, you will be responsible for the sales growth of performance additives and materials to manufacturers and marketers of health, nutraceutical, personal care, cosmetics and food products. These are key market for the organisation.

The customer base includes major local and international marketers and manufacturers, contract manufacturers and blenders as well as smaller niche players looking for an innovative edge. The product range includes antiperspirant actives, emollients, dispersants, surfactants, essential oils, suspending agents, rheology modifiers, natural extracts, conditioning agents and polymers, emulsion stabilizers and skin care actives.

Laboratory Technician for Personal Care Cosmetics

This Australian contract manufacturing company for personal care cosmetics is situated in Dandenong South Melbourne. The company has built a brand new manufacturing facility over the last 12 months incorporating state of the art production and laboratory equipment.  It is continuously growing and currently we are looking to incorporate a full time Laboratory Technician in our team.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Stability testing of laboratory batches and manufactured product.
  • Preparation of Lab scale batches
  • Sample and testing of raw materials.
  • General laboratory housekeeping.
  • Process control

The position has a strong QA & QC responsibility. The successful applicant will ideally have experience in both facets of material inspection and control.

The Criteria for this role:

  • A Bachelor degree or a Diploma in Formulation Science, Chemistry or General Science.
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory is essential.
  • A willingness and enthusiasm to learn is essential, full training will be provided.
  • Ability to follow detailed manufacturing procedures with a high regard for product quality.
  • Full understanding of the GMP process.
  • Must have a Victorian driving licence and own vehicle.
