Kasvi Beauty is an eco-luxury botanical skincare brand rooted in Finnish botanical heritage—kasvi means “plant” in Finnish. Our water-based creams and serums begin with 100% Finnish birch sap rather than water, layered with Nordic berry seed oils, botanical extracts, and modern cosmetic actives chosen for skin that has changed. The formulas bring together two things often treated separately: genuine botanical tradition and the precision of contemporary cosmetic science. Everything is formulated and manufactured in small batches in our Queens, New York City lab.

Your role/part:

Founder, formulator, and manufacturer. I develop every formula and make every batch myself.
I founded Kasvi Beauty and personally lead the development of each formula, from ingredient research and sourcing through formulation, testing, production, brand strategy, and launch.

How have your studies helped progress:

My IPCS studies took me from finance and operations to running my own formulation lab. The program gave me the scientific foundation to develop products responsibly, from emulsion systems and preservative efficacy to stability, microbial testing, labeling, and cosmetic regulation. Using 100% birch sap as the water phase presents real preservation challenges, and the rigor IPCS taught me made it possible to approach them with confidence. The greatest lesson was simple: respect the science. The women using these products deserve formulas that genuinely work.
