Belinda is the Founder and Director of the Institute, and has worked with hundreds of brands on thousands of products for over 20 years. She started her career as a Naturopath, specialising in herbal medicine, before moving into a Regulatory role within an International company overseeing a variety of personal care and ingestible therapeutic goods. She grew within this role over the years to also cover Project Management of multiple SKUs and work closely with the R&D Department, before moving into her own business as a consultant for personal care and supplement regulatory affairs and formulation. After being a private consultant for a few years, she was asked to train some of her Company Clients and decided to work with the Department of Education in Australia to develop full Government Registered and Recognised courses. She then worked with peers in the industry to develop the Diploma of Personal Care Formulation and Diploma of Cosmetic Brand Management, and finally, in 2007, the Institute of Personal Care Science and the Industry Recognised courses were launched.

Since then, Belinda has grown the Institute to what it is today and has presented hundreds of videos on Youtube on various formulation, regulatory and brand management topics. She has been the Official Technical Advisor to the in-cosmetics Group internationally for 5 years and a judge on International Beauty Awards Panels for many years. She has written 5 books on Beginners and Advanced Cosmetic Formulation, Organic and Colour Cosmetic Formulation and Brand Management. She has also been a regular presenter at major International events and her work can be found in many national and International publications, UL Prospector and Special Chem formulators site. She has also created the Create Cosmetic Formulas program, an online site that enables people with no prior experience to pick and choose ingredients they want in a formula, and then shows them how to put the product together. She is a member of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists (ASCC) and International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC). She was the winner of the Annual Industry Award from CHC Australia for her contribution to Research and Training and was a finalist in the Australian Telstra Business Women’s Awards in 3 categories.

Tasmin started her career working with a Training Provider in Student Support, before moving into the beauty care industry specialising in lashes, brows and tanning. This sparked her interest in cosmetic formulation, leading her to study with the Institute and pursue a career in cosmetic formulation and development. After studying with the Institute, she was lucky enough to be offered a position with us to further her career goals. She has been with the Institute since 2018, working in our lab as a Chemist Assistant to Belinda and then as an Associate Chemist. She now works on a variety of skin and hair care formulation developments as well as make up and organic formulations.

She oversees the training and assessment of hundreds of students across multiple formulation and regulatory courses, providing online and 1-on-1 support based on student needs. She works with students on a daily basis to help them get the most out of their studies and also provides technical support to the subscribers of our Create Cosmetic Formulas program. You'll also see Tasmin provide various formulation guidance and tips in various videos on our YouTube channel. 

Tasmin is a member of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists (ASCC) and International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC). She brings her wealth of knowledge and experience of trends and product performance from working in the beauty industry to the formulas she creates as well as the students she supports.

Georgie has over 10 years experience as a trainer in the personal care industry, with a further 10 years of beauty therapy and salon experience prior to that. Throughout her training career, she has assisted hundreds of students achieve their study goals, adapting her training style to individual needs in order to support student outcomes. She has been exposed to learners from a variety of backgrounds, and combined with her experience in the beauty industry, is able to help them gain a truly practical understanding of subject matter and how it applies in the workplace.
 
Georgie has also managed her own as well as other salons, so appreciates the demands of study while working; juggling family, career and study life; and the essential elements of running a small business. She’s able to help learners with motivational tips of how to fit it all in, whilst still getting the best out of every facet of life and training.

Georgie is here to support learners in cosmetic formulation from all backgrounds, providing 1-on-1 and group training sessions to ensure everyone gets the attention they need to get the most out of their training experience with IPCS.

Marica Citati

Marica started her career in a Project Management role before moving into a laboratory, quality management and R&D role with a major Australian manufacturer. She studied with the Institute of Personal Care Science, achieving the top marks and being awarded the Student of the Year in 2019. Originally from Italy, she adds her European flair, creativity and experiences to the IPCS team.

She works regularly in new product development, creating formulas from concept to production including scale up tests and laboratory trials. She is heavily involved in researching new materials to keep up with trends, and improving compounding procedures and methods to improve stability and manufacture. She also writes quality control specifications and ensures batch quality from small to large batch production runs to eliminate hassles and streamline the production of quality end product. 

Marica is one of the trainers here for our Diploma of Personal Care Formulation providing assessment and support to hundreds of students both online and 1-on-1. Her vision with students is to impart her knowledge and experience to help bring out their best throughout their time with us at the Institute.

She is a member of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists (ASCC) and International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC). She brings her manufacturing and quality control experience from working in the cosmetic manufacture to her developments, scale up and student support.

Ghazal started her career as a Research Associate with Lancaster University, where she conducted high level research and assisted with preparing course notes and gave lectures. She then worked with a major Cosmetic Manufacturer in Canada as a Research & Development Chemist and Analyst, evaluating incoming raw materials, outgoing finished products as well as worked closely with the production team throughout all scale-up steps. Liaising with clients, she gained considerable insight into the Product Development process including aspects of commerciality and production capability.

 

Her more recent work has focussed heavily on the development of high performance cosmeceutical and sunscreen products, both with new and improvements to existing product ranges. She is regularly involved with validating processes as well as process improvements and works extensively with stability testing and quality control protocols. Her problem solving approach and experience is an asset to students as she supports them throughout their studies.

She is a member of the Ontario chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists and International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC). She brings her analytical, chemistry, manufacturing and quality control experience from working in the cosmetic manufacture to her developments, scale up and student support.

Victoria is our marketing aficionado, having worked with the Institute since 2014. She started with us in an administration role while studying and grew to become the Marketing and Brand Management trainer of today. While at University, she won the award for the Highest Achieving Student in Marketing & Communications for her cosmetic promotions campaign and a University Medal for her overall marks. She moved to Australia from France so brings a multi-national perspective to cosmetic brands, their developments and promotions.

Victoria has worked with dozens of brands over the years in building their marketing and media campaigns. She is passionate about Brand promotion, and the innovation that enables such creativity and performance in the personal care Industry. She oversees our Cosmetic Brand Management training programs, at both Beginners and Diploma levels. She is particularly well versed in social media and strategies to help brands grow across all marketing avenues with a range of budgets and capabilities. She is here to help students throughout their studies and passes on her professionalism, knowledge and experience to help them grow their cosmetic brands too.

Hanna has been with the Institute since 2012, helping us grow from our early days in Student Support and Administration to her amazing Digital Media designing of today. Originally from South Korea, Hanna brings an in depth understanding of the Asian skincare market to our team and keeps up with trends and happenings in the East.

Her studies in digital media design help ensure our lecture videos and training materials are kept modern, up to date and easily accessible for students all over the world. She is also instrumental in making sure all of our marketing and design brings you the best information clearly, so you can access the details you need readily to succeed with your course decisions and study materials.

Hanna also oversees all of our Youtube content, helping make sure you are connected with high quality videos and information to help you grow and succeed in your formulation and brand management decisions.


Rose Barnes

Rose is here to help you succeed! As our passionate Student Support Officer, Rose helps students keep on track with their studies, notifies them of due dates or updates, employment opportunities available and student access.

Rose is originally from New Zealand and even won the Miss Wanganui pageant in 1982!

With over 6 years of experience in student support from the enquiry through to registration stage, she also ensures student results are recorded accurately and our Professional Advanced Certificates and Diplomas reach you, no matter where you are in the world.

Rose loves to see students succeed and gets a little tingle of joy every time she gets to print out a Qualification and send it off. You’ll speak with Rose regularly about your study progress once you start with us at IPCS.


Richard Chapman
Operations Manager

Richard started his career in manufacturing and grew in his role to eventually oversee 6 staff, on various size projects from one off production runs to multiple large scale manufacturing projects.

Richard moved into a logistics and operations role in 2016. He helps ensure students get the right materials, in the right packs, delivered all over the world despite the many regulatory and customs issues, in a timely and efficient manner. He oversees the quality of the student packs we send out and makes sure everything arrives in order. He also manages accounts to keep students up to date with their instalments and ensures safe, secure payments so you can access your studies with peace of mind.

He makes sure everything runs smoothly for every student, so you can get the most out of your study experience with IPCS.
